DTC B0090-87: Left Frontal Restraints Sensor Missing Message [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

      Procedure1

    3. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag sensor assembly and front airbag sensor LH.

      OK

      The connectors are properly connected.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

  2. CHECK CONNECTORS

    1. Disconnect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the front airbag sensor LH connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Check that the terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR OPEN IN THE CIRCUIT)

    1. Using a service wire, connect terminals 30 (+SL) and 31 (-SL) of connector B.
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CLEAR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

      *1 Front Airbag Sensor RH
      *2 Airbag Sensor Assembly
      *3 Wire Harness
    2. Interchange the front airbag sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

      Procedure1

    5. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to

    6. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result:

  8. CHECK FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

      Procedure1

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      B0090-87 is output A
      B0095-87 is output B
      B0090-87 and B0095-87 are not output C

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTCs B0090-87 and B0095-87 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

      Post-procedure1

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    5. Return the front airbag sensor RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

    Result: 

    REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ] 

    Result:
