DTC B0097-96: Right Side Restraints Sensor 2 Component Internal Failure [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

Pre-procedure1

1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   *1	Side No. 2 Airbag Sensor LH
   *2	Airbag Sensor Assembly
   *3	Wire Harness

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
3. Interchange the side No. 2 airbag sensor RH with LH and connect the connectors to them.
4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

   Procedure1

6. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

   Result

   Proceed to

   Post-procedure1

7. Turn the ignition switch off.

Result:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

   Procedure1

2. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   B0097-96 is output	A
   B0092-96 is output	B
   B0092-96 and B0097-96 are not output	C

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTCs B0092-96 and B0097-96 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

   Post-procedure1

3. Turn the ignition switch off.
4. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
5. Return the side No. 2 airbag sensor LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

Result:

REPLACE SIDE NO. 2 AIRBAG SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]
