DTC C05E7-1C: 4WD/AWD Clutch "B" Actuator Control Circuit Performance Circuit Voltage Out of Range [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the M42 4WD ECU assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   M42-5 (SLR+) - M42-6 (SLR-)	20°C (68°F)	0.73 to 0.83 Ω
   M42-5 (SLR+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   M42-6 (SLR-) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

Result: 

NG

1. Disconnect the M42 4WD ECU assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the s7 rear 4WD linear solenoid (rear differential carrier assembly) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   M42-5 (SLR+) - s7-1 (SLR+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   M42-6 (SLR-) - s7-2 (SLR-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   M42-5 (SLR+) or s7-1 (SLR+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   M42-6 (SLR-) or s7-2 (SLR-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   M42-5 (SLR+) or s7-1 (SLR+) - M42-6 (SLR-) or s7-2 (SLR-)	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   M42-5 (SLR+) - M42-16 (SLRS)	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   M42-6 (SLR-) - M42-16 (SLRS)	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   M42-5 (SLR+) or s7-1 (SLR+) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPLACE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]
