DTC C05F5-1C: 4WD/AWD Front/Rear Range Actuator Control Circuit Performance Circuit Voltage Out of Range [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the M41 4WD ECU assembly connector.

   *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to 4WD ECU Assembly)

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   M41-2 (BSLC) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the M42 4WD ECU assembly connector.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   M42-4 (SLC+) - M42-3 (SLC-)	20°C (68°F)	2.2 to 2.6 Ω
   M42-4 (SLC+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   M42-3 (SLC-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

Result: 

NG

1. Disconnect the s8 4WD linear solenoid (electro magnetic control coupling sub-assembly) connector.

   *a	Component without harness connected (4WD Linear Solenoid [Electro Magnetic Control Coupling Sub-assembly])

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1 (BSF) - 2 (SLC)	20°C (68°F)	2.2 to 2.6 Ω
   1 (BSF) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   2 (SLC) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
