DTC C1AE8-96: Ultrasonic Sensor (Rear Right Center) Component Internal Failure [12/2019 - 11/2023]: Procedure

1. According to the display on the GTS, check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Trouble Codes 

2. According to the display on the GTS, clear the DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Clear DTCs 

3. Recheck for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   No DTC is output	A
   "C1AE8-96" is output	B
   "C1AE8-96" and "C1AE8-87" are output	C

Result:

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - ]

1. Replace the rear center ultrasonic sensor RH with a new or normally functioning one.

   Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]

   HINT: 

   To check if the ultrasonic sensor is functioning correctly, replace it with another ultrasonic sensor.
