1. Check that the radiator shutter sub-assembly is free of foreign matter and ice.

   OK

   The radiator shutter sub-assembly is free of foreign matter and ice.

FOREIGN OBJECT (REMOVE FOREIGN MATTER AND/OR ICE)

1. Disconnect the A53 radiator shutter sub-assembly connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A53-4 (+B) - Body ground	Ignition switch off	11 to 14 V

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A53-1 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Disconnect the z20 radiator shutter sub-assembly connector.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

1. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test to open and close the grille shutter.

2. Remove the swing grille actuator assembly.

   Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - 10/2021]

3. Manually open and close the radiator shutter sub-assembly and check that it moves smoothly.

   OK

   The radiator shutter sub-assembly moves smoothly.

   Result

REPLACE SWING GRILLE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - 10/2021]
