DTC B2341: Sensor (Motor) Failure; DTC B2344: Position Failure [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2019 - ]

      Body Electrical > Sliding Roof > Clear DTCs 

      Body Electrical > Sliding Sunshade > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2019 - ]

      Body Electrical > Sliding Roof > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Sliding Sunshade > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTCs B2341 and B2344 are not output.

  5. INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Check that the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) can be initialized.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY) - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R19 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.
    2. Disconnect the R11 map light assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the R20 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R19-5 (CLS) - R11-19 (CLS) Always Below 1 Ω
      R19-5 (CLS) or R11-19 (CLS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R19-7 (OPN) - R11-20 (OPN) Always Below 1 Ω
      R19-7 (OPN) or R11-20 (OPN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R19-2 (TILT) - R11-16 (VENT) Always Below 1 Ω
      R19-2 (TILT) or R11-16 (VENT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R19-6 (OPN) - R11-17 (OPN) Always Below 1 Ω
      R19-6 (OPN) or R11-17 (OPN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOF SUNSHADE ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY) - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R20 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.
    2. Disconnect the R11 map light assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the R19 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
