  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

    HINT:

    • In troubleshooting, confirm that the problem symptoms have been accurately identified. Preconceptions should be discarded in order to make an accurate judgment. To clearly understand what the problem symptoms are, it is extremely important to ask the customer about the problem and the conditions at the time the malfunction occurred.
    • Gather as much information as possible for reference. Past problems that seem unrelated may also help in some cases.
    • The following 5 items are important points for problem analysis:
      What Vehicle model, system name
      When Date, time, occurrence frequency
      Where Road conditions
Under what conditions? Driving conditions, weather conditions
How did it happen? Problem symptoms

  3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE
    1. Inspect the auxiliary battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

If the auxiliary battery voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

    2. Check the fuses and relays.
    3. Check the connector connections and terminals to make sure that there are no abnormalities such as loose connections, deformation, etc.
    4. Using the GTS, check the Data List item "Operation Limitation Control History Count".

Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [12/2019 - 10/2021]

Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List

      Tester Display
Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level1)
Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level2)

      HINT:

If a value other than zero is displayed for "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level1)" or "Operation Limitation Control History Count (Level2)", air conditioning system operation may have been limited in the past. If the operation is still limited, the message "High Power Consumption Partial Limit on AC/Heater Operation" will be displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly. In this case, inspect the charging system.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [12/2019 - 11/2023]

      3. Main Body (for B1279)

Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs

      4. Rain and/or Humidity Sensor (for B14A8 / B14A9 / B14AA)

Body Electrical > Rain and/or Humidity Sensor > Clear DTCs

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the air conditioning system DTC by simulating the operation indicated by the DTC.
      1. Air Conditioner

Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes

      2. Hybrid Control (for P1C7C-49)
