DTC B14C0-11: Front Right Seat Heat Sensor Circuit Short to Ground; DTC B14C0-15: Front Right Seat Heat Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      B14C0-11 and B14C0-15 are not output A

    Result:

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the H65 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the e8 front seat cushion heater assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the e19 front seat cushion heater assembly LH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H65-12 (TSR) or e8-4 (THR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H65-3 (SG-7) or e8-5 (THR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the H65 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the e8 front seat cushion heater assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the e19 front seat cushion heater assembly LH connector.
    4. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H65-12 (TSR) or e8-4 (THR+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      H65-3 (SG-7) or e8-5 (THR-) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H65-12 (TSR) - e8-4 (THR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H65-3 (SG-7) - e8-5 (THR-) Always Below 1 Ω
