NOTE:
  • The AUTO function (IG-OFF linked function) will not be automatically disabled when the ignition switch is ON, the brake pedal is depressed and the shift lever is moved out from P if the electric parking brake switch assembly is moved to the engage side. The AUTO function (IG-OFF linked function) will not automatically operate to apply the electric parking brake when the shift lever is moved to P if the electric parking brake switch assembly is moved to the release side.
  • To ensure that the electronic parking brake does not operate, wait for 3 minutes or more with the ignition switch off, the driver door closed, and the brake pedal not depressed, then disconnect each connector, fuse and relay.
  • After replacing the No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform calibration (linear solenoid valve offset learning, SM solenoid valve offset learning, brake pedal stroke sensor assembly zero point calibration, system information memorization, and yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration) after performing "Reset Memory".

  • When replacing the No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), operate the electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) as the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks when the ignition switch is first turned ON.
