Inspection [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT AUTO HIGH BEAM SWITCH 
    1. Inspect the automatic high beam main switch.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Auto High Beam Switch)

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        5 (B) - 2 (E) Automatic high beam main switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        Automatic high beam main switch on Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the auto high beam switch.

    2. Illumination Inspection
      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the auto high beam switch and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK

        SWITCH ILLUMINATION

        Auxiliary Battery Connection Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 6 (ILL+)
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)        		 Switch illumination illuminates

        OK

        SWITCH INDICATOR

        Auxiliary Battery Connection Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 3 (IND+)
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 4 (AZBI)        		 Switch indicator illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the auto high beam switch.
