DTC B1ACA-71: Front Right Speaker Cable Actuator Stuck [10/2022 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK PROBLEM SYMPTOM 
    1. Confirm the problem symptoms and proceed to the respective link.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the M37 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H13 front No. 3 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M37-13 (FR+) - H13-4 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M37-28 (FR-) - H13-2 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH - FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the H13 front No. 3 speaker assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the J1 front No. 1 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H13-3 (+) - J1-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      H13-1 (-) - J1-1 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

  4. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Refer to UTILITY [10/2022 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

    1. Replace the speaker assembly with a new or known good one.

  7. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Refer to UTILITY [10/2022 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

    REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the M37 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H12 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the H72 front no. 2 speaker assembly RH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M37-9 (TWR+) - H12-1 (SPI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M37-24 (TWR-) - H12-2 (SPI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H72-2 (TWR+) - H12-3 (SPO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H72-1 (TWR-) - H12-4 (SPO-) Always Below 1 Ω

  9. INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (SPI+) - 3 (SPO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      2 (SPI-) - 4 (SPO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      1 (SPI+) - 2 (SPI-) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3 (SPO+) - 4 (SPO-) Always 10 kΩ or higher

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the M37 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H72 front no. 2 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M37-9 (TWR+) - H72-2 (TWR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M37-24 (TWR-) - H72-1 (TWR-) Always Below 1 Ω
