DTC B1ACB-71: Front Left Speaker Cable Actuator Stuck [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK PROBLEM SYMPTOM 
    1. Confirm the problem symptoms and proceed to the respective link.

      No sound is output from the front No. 1 speaker assembly LH or front No. 3 speaker assembly LH A
      No sound is output from the front No. 2 speaker assembly LH B

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the M37 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H14 front No. 3 speaker assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M37-8 (TWL+) - H14-3 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M37-23 (TWL-) - H74-2 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH - FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the H14 front No. 3 speaker assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the J17 front No. 1 speaker assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H14-4 (+) - J17-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      H14-1 (-) - J17-1 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

    REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Refer to UTILITY [10/2022 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B1ACB-71 is output B

    Result:

    END (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH IS DEFECTIVE)

  6. REPLACE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Replace the speaker assembly with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

  7. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. In accordance with the display of the GTS, perform a speaker circuit energization inspection.

      Refer to UTILITY [10/2022 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Speaker Line Electricity Check
    3. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B1ACB-71 is output B

    Result:

    END (FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH IS DEFECTIVE)

    REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the M37 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H74 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M37-12 (FL+) - H74-2 (TWL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M37-27 (FL-) - H74-1 (TWL-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
