Precaution [12/2019 - 10/2022]

  1. INITIALIZATION
    NOTE:
    • Before replacing the ECM, refer to Registration.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [12/2019 - 10/2021] , or refer to REGISTRATION [10/2021 - 10/2022]

    • Perform Registration (VIN registration) after replacing the ECM.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    • Perform Learning Value Reset and Idle Learning after replacing or servicing parts related to engine operation.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    • Make sure to perform Reset Memory (A/T initialization), when replacing the automatic transaxle assembly, ECM or engine assembly.
    • When the engine stop and start ECU is replaced, it is necessary to read the number of starter operations before replacement, and to store this number in the new engine stop and start ECU. Moreover, initialization/learning of the air conditioning information, initialization/learning of the deceleration sensor zero point and checking the operation of oil pump with solenoid assembly are also required (w/ stop and start system).

      Refer to REGISTRATION [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    • When the starter assembly is replaced, the number of starter operations stored in the engine stop and start ECU must be reset (w/ stop and start system).

      Refer to REGISTRATION [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    • When the starter assembly is replaced, "ST relay" must be also replaced (w/ stop and start system).
    • When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following system(s) after the cable is reconnected.
      System Name See Procedure
      Stop and Start System Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2021 - 10/2022]
