DTC P0555-11: Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Short to Ground; DTC P0555-15: Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY (PB TERMINAL VOLTAGE)

    *a Component with harness connected
    (Engine Stop and Start ECU)
    - -
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A34-13 (PB) - A34-3 (BRE2) Ignition switch ON Higher than 0.6 V or below 4.7 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE STOP AND START ECU - VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the vacuum sensor assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A34-13 (PB) - A84-2 (PBA) Always Below 1 Ω
      A34-14 (BRVC) - A84-3 (VCA) Always Below 1 Ω
      A34-3 (BRE2) - A84-1 (E2A) Always Below 1 Ω
      A34-13 (PB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A34-14 (BRVC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A34-3 (BRE2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A84-2 (PBA) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A84-3 (VCA) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A84-1 (E2A) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK ENGINE STOP AND START ECU (BRVC TERMINAL VOLTAGE)

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      A34-14 (BRVC) - A34-3 (BRE2) Ignition switch ON 4.75 to 5.25 V

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE ENGINE STOP AND START ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

  4. REPLACE VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the vacuum sensor assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

  5. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

    1. Check that no DTCs are output.
