Inspection [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL SWITCH 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Downhill Assist Control Switch)

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    2. Disconnect the downhill assist control switch connector.
    3. Check both the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      5 (B) - 2 (E) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
      5 (B) - 2 (E) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
    5. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 (ILL+) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (ILL-) of the downhill assist control switch connector.

      OK

      The downhill assist control switch illumination illuminates.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the downhill assist control switch.
