Removal [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE PAD 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 QUARTER PANEL SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 2 quarter panel seal, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 quarter panel seal using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature

    Item Temperature
    No. 2 Quarter Panel Seal and Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the vehicle body and No. 2 quarter panel seal excessively.

    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 quarter panel seal.
    3. Separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 2 quarter panel seal.
