Inspection [10/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Check the operation of the power seat lifter motor assembly LH.

      *A w/ Memory
      *B w/o Memory
      *a Component without harness connected
      (Power Seat Lifter Motor Assembly LH)
      *b Clockwise
      *c Counterclockwise
      *d Motor Gear
      1. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the connector terminals.

        OK

        W/ MEMORY

        Auxiliary Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 4
        Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
        Motor gear rotates clockwise
        W/O MEMORY

        Auxiliary Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
        Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
        Motor gear rotates clockwise

        If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat lifter motor assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT POWER SEAT TILT MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      *A w/ Memory
      *B w/o Memory
      *a Component without harness connected
      (Power Seat Tilt Motor Assembly LH)
      *b Clockwise
      *c Counterclockwise
      *d Motor Gear

      Check the operation of the power seat tilt motor assembly LH.

      1. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the connector terminals.

        OK

        W/ MEMORY

        Auxiliary Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 4
        Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
        Motor gear rotates clockwise
        W/O MEMORY

        Auxiliary Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
        Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

        If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat tilt motor assembly LH.

  3. INSPECT POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH

      *b Clockwise
      *c Counterclockwise
      *d Motor Gear

      Check the operation of the power seat lifter motor assembly RH.

      1. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the connector terminals.

        OK

        Auxiliary Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
        Motor gear rotates clockwise
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
        Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

        If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat lifter motor assembly RH.

  4. INSPECT POWER SEAT TILT MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Check the operation of the power seat tilt motor assembly RH.

      *c Counterclockwise
      *d Motor Gear
      1. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the connector terminals.
