DTC B2653: Lifter Sensor Malfunction [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Clear DTCs

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Trouble Codes

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (SEAT LIFTER OPERATION) 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  4. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (LIFTER MOTOR CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the e13 lifter motor (power seat lifter motor assembly LH) connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      e13-2 - e13-3 Lifter switch on 4.8 to 5.1 V

  5. CHECK LIFTER MOTOR (POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Reconnect the e13 lifter motor (power seat lifter motor assembly LH) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

    REPLACE LIFTER MOTOR (POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH). Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - 10/2021]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2021 - 11/2023]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2023 - ] 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - LIFTER MOTOR (POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH)) 
    1. Disconnect the e25 position control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      e25-25 (SSRL) - e13-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      e25-25 (SSRL) or e13-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      e25-12 (SGND) - e13-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      e25-12 (SGND) or e13-3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  7. INSPECT LIFTER MOTOR (POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH)

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - LIFTER MOTOR (POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH)) 
    1. Disconnect the e23 and e24 position control ECU assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      e23-6 (LFT+) - e13-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      e23-6 (LFT+) or e13-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      e24-5 (LFT-) - e13-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      e24-5 (LFT-) or e13-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
