Reverse Shift-linked Function of Power Mirrors does not Operate [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK ELECTRICAL REMOTE CONTROL MIRROR FUNCTION 
    1. Check the electrical remote control mirror function operates normally.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2019 - 10/2022]

      OK

      Power electrical remote control mirror function operates normally.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Electrical remote control mirror function is normal A
      Driver door electrical remote control mirror function is not normal B
      Front passenger door electrical remote control mirror function is not normal C

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (Driver Side Power Mirror cannot be Adjusted with Power Mirror Switch) 

    Refer to Driver Side Power Mirror cannot be Adjusted with Power Mirror Switch [12/2019 - 11/2023] 

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (Front Passenger Side Power Mirror cannot be Adjusted with Power Mirror Switch) 

    Refer to Front Passenger Side Power Mirror cannot be Adjusted with Power Mirror Switch [12/2019 - 11/2023]

  2. CHECK MEMORY AND REACTIVATION FUNCTION 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      *a Turn to Fully Left Position
    2. Using the outer mirror switch assembly, turn the mirror surface to the fully left position.
    3. Press the M1 switch while the SET switch is being pressed.
    4. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds and the mirror surface position is memorized.
    5. Using the outer mirror switch assembly, turn the mirror surface to the fully right position.
    6. Press the M1 switch.
    7. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the outer mirror automatically moves to the memorized fully left position.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Memory and reactivation functions are normal A
      Memory function is not normal B
      Reactivation function is not normal C

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (Power Mirror Surface Position is not Memorized) 

    Refer to Power Mirror Surface Position is not Memorized [12/2019 - 11/2023] 

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (Power Mirrors do not Return to Memorized Position)

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check if hybrid control system DTCs are output.*
      1. *: for HV Model

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

    2. Check if SFI system DTCs are output.*
      1. *: for Gasoline Model

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      SFI system DTCs are not output.

      Result

      NG (for HV Model) B
      NG (for Gasoline Model) C

    Result: 

    GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM

    GO TO SFI SYSTEM

  4. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check if the shift position indicator light in the combination meter assembly operates normally.

      OK

      Shift position indicator light indicates the actual shift position correctly.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK REVERSE SHIFT-LINKED FUNCTION 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      *a Turns Downward
    2. Turn the mirror select switch R or L switch on.
    3. Check that the mirror surface turns downward when the shift lever is moved to R.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Reverse shift-linked functions on both mirrors are not normal A
      Reverse shift-linked function on driver door is not normal B
      Reverse shift-linked function on front passenger door is not normal C

    Result: 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    Result: 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (DRIVER DOOR) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    Result: 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER DOOR) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]
