Inspection [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the operation of the electrochromic inner rear view mirror assembly.

      *a Black Colored Tape *b Ambient Light Sensor
      *c Bright *d Dark
      *e Auxiliary Battery *f Mode Selection Lever
      *g Menu/Select Switch *h Cursor Operation Switch
      *i Component without harness connected
      (Inner Rear View Mirror Assembly)      		 - -
      1. Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 1 and terminal 6 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
      2. Confirm that the mode selection lever is set to the optical mirror mode side.

        HINT: 

        If the mode selection lever is set to the digital mirror mode side, move it to the optical mirror mode side.

      3. Attach black colored tape to the ambient light sensor to prevent it from sensing.
      4. Press the Menu/Select switch on the selection switch and turn on automatic anti-glare mode using the cursor operation switches.
      5. Light up the mirror with an electric light, and check that the mirror surface changes from bright to dark.

        OK

        Mirror surface changes from bright to dark.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the inner rear view mirror assembly.
