Removal [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR 
    1. Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

      Protective Tape
    2. Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
      NOTE:

      Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

    3. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape and a moulding remover, disengage the 8 claws as shown in the illustration.

    4. for Type A:
      1. w/ Blind Spot Monitor System:

        1. Disengage the 2 claws.
      2. Disconnect each connector to remove the outer mirror.

        *A w/ Blind Spot Monitor System
    5. for Type B:
      1. w/o Blind Spot Monitor System:

        1. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the outer mirror.
      2. w/ Blind Spot Monitor System:
        1. Disengage the 3 clamps.
        2. Disconnect the 3 connectors to remove the outer mirror.
