DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Check the problem symptoms.

      Result

      LH side front turn signal light does not blink A
      LH side rear turn signal light does not blink B
      RH side front turn signal light does not blink C
      RH side rear turn signal light does not blink D

  2. CHECK LH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Interchange the front turn signal light socket LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - ]

    2. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side front turn signal light operates normally.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side front turn signal light operates normally, the front turn signal light socket LH is malfunctioning.

      (LH side front turn signal light does not blink)

    Result: 

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A68 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the H22 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A68-1 (B) - H22-11 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A68-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK LH SIDE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET LH) 
    1. Interchange the rear turn signal light socket LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - ]

    2. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side rear turn signal light operates normally.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side rear turn signal light operates normally, the rear turn signal light socket LH is malfunctioning.

    REPLACE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - ]

  5. CHECK LH SIDE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT CORD LH) 
    1. Interchange the rear combination light cord LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    2. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side rear turn signal light operates normally.

      HINT: 

      If the LH side rear turn signal light operates normally, the rear combination light cord LH is malfunctioning.

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT CORD LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the M59 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the H22 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M59-1 (TRN) - H22-10 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      M59-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  7. CHECK RH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Interchange the front turn signal light socket RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - ]

    2. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the RH side front turn signal light operates normally.

      HINT: 

      If the RH side front turn signal light operates normally, the front turn signal light socket RH is malfunctioning.

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A67 headlight assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the H22 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A67-1 (B) - H22-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A67-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  9. CHECK RH SIDE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET RH) 
    1. Interchange the rear turn signal light socket RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2019 - ]

    2. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the RH side rear turn signal light operates normally.

      HINT: 

      If the RH side rear turn signal light operates normally, the rear turn signal light socket RH is malfunctioning.

  10. CHECK RH SIDE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT CORD RH) 
    1. Interchange the rear combination light cord RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    2. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the RH side rear turn signal light operates normally.

      HINT: 

      If the RH side rear turn signal light operates normally, the rear combination light cord RH is malfunctioning.

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the M8 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the H22 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M8-1 (TRN) - H22-13 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      M8-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
