Door Mirror Foot Light Circuit [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Mirror L > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Foot Illumination Door mirror foot light LH OFF or ON Operate with ignition switch ON and the vehicle stopped.

      Body Electrical > Mirror R > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Foot Illumination Door mirror foot light RH OFF or ON Operate with ignition switch ON and the vehicle stopped.

      Door mirror foot lights illuminate.

  2. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Outer Rear View Mirror Assembly LH)

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 2 (MLP+).
    3. Connect a negative (-) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 12 (-).
    4. Check that the door mirror foot light LH illuminates.

      OK

      Door mirror foot light illuminates.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ] 

  4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 2 (MLP+).

    4. Check that the door mirror foot light RH illuminates.
