Removal [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ] 

  2. REMOVE FORWARD RECOGNITION WITH HEATER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:
    • Do not touch the inner surface of the forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly.
    • Do not apply force to the heating element of the forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly or an open circuit may result.

    Inner Surface of Forward Recognition with Heater Hood Sub-assembly
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      NOTE:

      Do not pull the harness forcibly when disconnecting the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp and 4 ribs.

      HINT: 

      Disengage the clamp and ribs in the order shown in the illustration.

    3. Pull the forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 claws.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    4. Pull the forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove the forward recognition with heater hood sub-assembly.
