DTC C1AB5: Open in Outer Mirror Indicator (Slave) [12/2019 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH (SLAVE) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the M2 blind spot monitor sensor RH (slave) connector.
    2. Disconnect the J7 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M2-4 (OMIR) - J7-13 (BDSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      J7-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the z16 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J7-13 (BDSR) - z16-8 (BSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J7-7 (GND) - z16-12 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 11/2023]

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror assembly RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH).

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH (SLAVE). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]

  5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR RH 
    1. Remove the outer mirror RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    2. Inspect the outer mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH).

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 11/2023]

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH (SLAVE) - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the M2 blind spot monitor sensor RH (slave) connector.
    2. Disconnect the J15 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M2-4 (OMIR) - J15-3 (BSR+) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  7. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 11/2023]

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH).

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

      Result

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH (SLAVE). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]
