Precaution [11/2023 - ]

  1. PRECAUTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE (-) AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  2. PRECAUTIONS FOR HANDS FREE POWER BACK DOOR (w/ Hands Free Power Back Door) 
    1. In the following situations, the hands free power back door may operate unintentionally if the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) is near or within the rear door exterior detection area:

      HINT: 

      Refer to smart key system (for Entry Function)

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2023 - ]

      • When a large amount of water is applied to the rear bumper, such as when in heavy rain.
      • When water is applied to the rear bumper, such as when washing the vehicle.
      • When dirt, etc. is wiped off the rear bumper.
      • When a small animal suddenly enters the area below the rear bumper.
      • When trying to remove an object from below the rear bumper.
      • When removing snow, etc. from below the rear bumper. (such as when using a snow shovel)
    2. In the following situations, the hands free power back door may not operate normally:
      • When the rear bumper is strongly kicked.
      • When there are electrical waves present that interfere with communication between the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) and vehicle.
      • When there are radio waves that interfere with the sensitivity of the kick door control sensor.
      • When a large amount of water is applied to the rear bumper, such as when in heavy rain.
      • When water is applied to the rear bumper, such as when washing the vehicle.
      • When mud, snow, ice, etc. is attached to the rear bumper.
      • When the vehicle has been parked for a while near objects that move and contact the rear bumper, such as tall grass or trees.
      • When parking in an area with an electric field, such as road heating.
      • When accessories, etc. are attached to the rear bumper.
      • When the remote engine starter is operating.
      • When kick operations are performed several times consecutively.
      • When the rear bumper is touched for a certain period of time.
    3. In the following situations, the hands free power back door will not operate:
      • When not carrying the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key).
      • When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) is outside of the power back door operation detection area.
      • When the entry function does not operate because of wave interference.
      • When the customization setting is not set as follows:
      • When a large amount of water is applied to the rear bumper, such as when in heavy rain.
