Customize Parameters [12/2019 - 11/2023]

  1. CUSTOMIZE POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM 
    NOTE:
    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
    • Record the current settings before customizing.

    HINT: 

    The following items can be customized.

    1. Customizing with the GTS.
      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      3. Turn the GTS on.
      4. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / PSD & PBD operation.
      5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        PSD & PBD operation 

        Tester Display Description Default Setting ECU
        PBD SW Operation Function that changes the time necessary to operate the power back door control switch between pressed once and held down for 0.8 seconds. 0.8s 0:0.0s, 1:0.8s Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD Buzzer Function that changes the power back door warning buzzer setting. OFF 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        Door Unlock with 1 Motion. Function that selects the back door or doors to unlock when the back door is locked and the transmitter switch (electrical key transmitter sub-assembly) is pressed to operate the power back door. ALL DOORS 0:BackDoor, 1:ALL DOORS Multiplex network door ECU
        Wireless Power Back Door Open Function that operates the power back door by pressing the transmitter switch (electrical key transmitter sub-assembly). Lock:0.8s/Unlock:0.8s*1

        PBD Assist Open Operation Function that enables/disables the power back door assist open operation. When set to ON, the back door will open automatically when the back door opener switch assembly (open switch) is operated. ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD/Emblem Sensor Function Function that enables/disables the power back door and rear emblem sensor assembly.*3 PBD ON/Emblem ON 00:PBD OFF/Emblem OFF, 01:PBD ON/Emblem OFF, 10:PBD ON/Emblem ON Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD Buzzer Volume Adjust Function that changes the volume setting of the power back door warning buzzer. Large 00:Small, 01:Middle, 10:Large Multiplex network door ECU
        Emblem Sensor Detection Sensitivity Function that changes the sensitivity of the rear emblem sensor assembly.*3 Low 00:Low, 01:Middle, 10:High Multiplex network door ECU
        Kick Sensor Function Function that enables/disables the hands free power back door*4 ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD Assist Close Operation Function that enables/disables the power back door assist close operation. When set to ON, the back door will close automatically when operated in the close direction manually. ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        Power Back Door Opening Adjust Function that changes the position that the power back door stops during an open operation. 5:Max 000:"1:Min", 001:"2:Small", 010:"3:Middle", 011:"4:Large", 100:"5:Max", 111:User Setting Position Multiplex network door ECU

    2. Customizing with the multi-information display (combination meter assembly)
      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      2. Enter the following menus: Vehicle Settings / Power Back Door.
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
