Installation [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR 
    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Engage the claw and install the front airbag sensor with the bolt.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the front airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
      • When installing the front airbag sensor, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is not pinched between other parts.
      • Make sure that the front airbag sensor claw is securely inserted into the body hole.
    4. Connect the connector to the front airbag sensor.
      NOTE:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      HINT:

      Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [12/2019 - 11/2023]

    5. Check that there is no looseness in the installed parts of the front airbag sensor.
  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    for A25A-FXS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2021 - 10/2022]

  3. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 
    1. Install the windshield washer jar assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

    2. Install the bolt.
  5. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [09/2020 - ]

  6. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2019 - 11/2023]

  7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2019 - 10/2022]

  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    for Parking Support Brake System: Refer to CALIBRATION [12/2019 - 11/2023]

    for Panoramic View Monitor System: Refer to CALIBRATION [12/2019 - 10/2022]
