DTC P2120-12: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D" Circuit Short to Battery; DTC P2120-14: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D" Circuit Short to Ground or Open; DTC P2120-1C: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D" Circuit Voltage Out of Range; DTC P2120-1F: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D" Circuit Intermittent; DTC P2120-99: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D" Exceeded Learning Limit; DTC P2125-12: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "E" Circuit Short to Battery; DTC P2125-14: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "E" Circuit Short to Ground or Open; DTC P2125-1F: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "E" Circuit Intermittent; DTC P2138-2B: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D"/"E" Voltage Correlation Signal Cross Coupled [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Fail-Safe
When DTC P2120-12, P2120-14, P2120-1C, P2120-1F, P2120-99, P2125-12, P2125-14, P2125-1F or P2138-2B is stored, the ECM enters fail-safe mode. If either of the 2 sensor circuits malfunctions, the ECM limits the engine output. If both of the circuits malfunction, the ECM regards the accelerator pedal as being released. As a result, the throttle valve is closed and the engine idles.
Fail-safe mode continues until a pass condition is detected, and the ignition switch is turned off.
