On-Vehicle Inspection [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY OPERATION
- Check fuel pressure.
- Start the engine.
- Check that the fuel pressure fluctuates when the target fuel pressure changes.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Active Test Display Control the Target Fuel Pressure Offset Data List Display Fuel Pressure (High) HINT:
The target fuel pressure operation decreases the target fuel pressure by 12.5% or increases the target fuel pressure by 24.8%.
If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump assembly or fuel pressure sensor (fuel delivery pipe with sensor assembly LH).
- Check operating sound.
- Remove the V-bank cover sub-assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [09/2020 - 10/2022]
- Start the engine.
- Using a sound scope, check the operating sound of the fuel pump assembly.
If no sound can be heard, check the fuel pump assembly, wire harness and ECM.
- Stop the engine.
- Install the V-bank cover sub-assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 52 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 52 [09/2020 - 10/2022]
- Remove the V-bank cover sub-assembly.
