Installation [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Back Door) 

    HINT: 

    Make sure to remove the string before installing a new back door lock assembly.

    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the back door lock assembly.
    2. Connect the connector.
    3. Install the back door lock assembly with the 3 bushes and 3 bolts.

      Torque: 14.7 N.m (150 kgf/cm, 11 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH (w/ Power Back Door) 

    HINT: 

    Make sure to remove the string before installing a new back door lock assembly with courtesy light switch.

    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the back door lock assembly with courtesy light switch.
    2. Install the 3 bushes and 3 bolts.

      Torque: 14.7 N.m (150 kgf/cm, 11 ft.lbf) 

    3. Install the back door lock assembly with courtesy light switch with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    4. Connect the 2 connectors.
  3. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  4. INSTALL BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  5. INSTALL BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
