Removal [12/2019 - 10/2021]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SHUTTER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - 10/2021]

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [09/2020 - ]

  11. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
    1. Remove the clip and disengage the claw.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the No. 1 radiator air guide LH.
  13. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the No. 1 radiator air guide RH.
  14. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 2 horn connectors and vehicle approaching speaker assembly connector.

    2. Remove the bolt to separate the inlet hose.

    3. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    4. Disengage the 3 claws.
    5. Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.
  15. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE 
    1. Remove the hood lock control cable assembly from the No. 2 radiator air guide.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the fan with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the fan with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 4 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the No. 4 inverter cooling hose from the fan with motor assembly.

  21. DISCONNECT NO. 5 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    1. Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the No. 5 inverter cooling hose from the fan with motor assembly.

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the fan with motor assembly.
    3. Rotate the lever while pushing the lock, and disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.

      NOTE:

      After disconnecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector.

    4. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the fan with motor assembly.
    5. Disengage the 2 claws.

    6. Disengage the 2 guides to separate the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly when separating the cooler condenser assembly.

    7. Remove the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly from the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

    8. Disengage the 2 claws.

    9. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the fan with motor assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan with motor assembly.

  23. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.
  24. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.
