Removal [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD LH (w/ Mudguard) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    for except Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2020 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2023 - ]

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:
      1. Disengage the clamp.

      2. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the hood lock nut cap.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

      *1 Hood Lock Bolt
    4. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock assembly.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2022 - ]

  9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2022 - ]

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [11/2023 - ]

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage each clamp and the grommet as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly - -
      *a Grommet - -

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.
