Removal [12/2019 - 10/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2019 - 11/2023]

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

  6. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2021]

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  8

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  9

  10. REMOVE FUEL (ENGINE ROOM SIDE) PUMP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 fuel pressure sensor connector.

    2. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt, No. 2 fuel pressure sensor and No. 2 fuel pressure sensor holder from the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
