Removal [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for HV Model) 

    for Engine:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

  6. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  8. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2019 - 10/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2021 - 10/2022]

  9. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41

  10. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [12/2019 - 10/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [10/2021 - 10/2022]

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK SIDE TRIM COVER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 deck side trim cover.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  12. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  13. REMOVE COOLER (NO. 2 ROOM TEMP. SENSOR) THERMISTOR (w/ Rear Automatic Air Conditioning System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. REMOVE DECK TRIM POCKET COVER (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  16. REMOVE ROPE HOOK (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  17. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 49

  18. REMOVE QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39

  19. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  20. REMOVE COOLER PLATE 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the cooler plate as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  21. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SIDE AIR DUCT 
    1. Remove the rear No. 1 side air duct as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  22. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SIDE AIR DUCT 
    1. Remove the 2 clips.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear No. 3 side air duct as shown in the illustration.
  23. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the spare tire.
    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid tube.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the liquid tube.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    4. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction tube.

    5. Remove the O-ring from the suction tube.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    6. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the outlet heater water hose.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the outlet heater water hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
    7. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the inlet heater water hose.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the inlet heater water hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  24. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. for Gasoline Model:
      1. Disconnect each connector.

      2. Disengage each clamp.
      3. Disconnect the drain cooler hose.

      4. Remove the 4 bolts.
      5. Disengage the guide and remove the rear cooling unit assembly.
    3. for HV Model:
      1. Remove the 2 bolts.

      2. Disengage the guide and disconnect the earth wire.
      3. Disconnect each connector.

      4. Disengage each clamp.
      5. Disconnect the drain cooler hose.

      6. Remove the 5 bolts.
      7. Disengage the guide and remove the rear cooling unit assembly.
