Disassembly [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR WITH BRACKET (w/ Kick Sensor) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
    1. Disengage the 15 clamps to remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  7. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and reflex reflector assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION (except Sport Package) 
    1. Disengage each clip.

    2. Remove the 6 clips.

    3. Disengage the 10 claws and 6 guides to remove the rear bumper extension.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER (except Sport Package) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and 4 clips.

    2. Disengage the 14 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear bumper lower cover from the rear bumper cover.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION LH (for Sport Package) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear bumper corner extension LH.

  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION RH (for Sport Package) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER (for Sport Package) 
    1. Remove the 6 screws and 8 clips.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION (for Sport Package)

    2. Disengage the 8 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear bumper extension from the rear bumper cover.

  15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH (for Sport Package) 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Disengage the 5 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear bumper side moulding LH.

  16. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING RH (for Sport Package) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE REAR BUMPER MOULDING (for Sport Package)

  18. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

  19. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD LH 
    1. Remove the rear bumper pad LH.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  20. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2023 - ]

  21. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH

    2. Remove the screw and rear bumper upper retainer LH.
  23. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  24. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper side support LH is necessary.

    1. Disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

  26. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper side seal LH is necessary.

  28. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR (w/ Towing Hitch) 
    1. Remove the 2 clips and No. 2 luggage compartment side cover protector.

  29. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR (w/ Towing Hitch) 
    1. Remove the No. 1 luggage compartment side cover protector.
  30. REMOVE TOWING SOCKET (w/ Towing Hitch)

  31. REMOVE RECEIVER HITCH CAP (w/ Towing Hitch) 
    1. Remove the receiver hitch cap.
  32. REMOVE RECEIVER HITCH BRACKET LH (w/ Towing Hitch) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and receiver hitch bracket LH.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and receiver hitch bracket sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Because the receiver hitch bracket sub-assembly is very heavy, it may cause injury or fall resulting in damage to the vehicle body when it is being handled. During removal or installation, make sure that there are enough people available to hold the hitch bracket securely.

  35. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper reinforcement is necessary.

    1. Remove the 6 nuts and rear bumper reinforcement.
