Removal [10/2022 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/o Grille Shutter) 

    except Sport Package:

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - 11/2023]

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SHUTTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Grille Shutter) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2021 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    except Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  7. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (for T24A-FTS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  8. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (for A25A-FXS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  9. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for T24A-FTS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  10. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for A25A-FXS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  11. REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Grille Shutter) 

    See step  2

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
    1. Remove the clip.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the claw and 2 guides, and remove the No. 1 radiator air guide LH as shown in the illustration.
  13. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
    1. Remove the clip.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the claw and guide, and remove the No. 1 radiator air guide RH as shown in the illustration.
  14. DISCONNECT RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (for HV Model) 
    1. for Inverter Coolant:
      1. Remove the 4 bolts.

      2. Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the radiator assembly.
      3. Separate the radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.

        Separate in this Direction
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the No. 3 inverter cooling hose and No. 4 inverter cooling hose.

  15. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  16. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HV Model) 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  17. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 
    1. While pressing the end of the air conditioning tube assembly into the end of the cooler condenser assembly, use pliers to squeeze together both sides of the piping clamp until it breaks apart.

      *a Press In - -
      NOTE:
      • If any foreign matter is attached to the connecting parts, brush it off or use compressed air to remove it before disconnecting the parts.
      • Make sure that fragments of the piping clamp do not enter the piping.
    2. Disconnect the air conditioning tube assembly.
      NOTE:

      Remove any foreign matter from the connecting parts of the air conditioning tube assembly and cooler condenser assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioning tube assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts with vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    4. Remove the piping clamp.
  18. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (for HV Model) 
    1. While pressing the end of the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A into the end of the cooler condenser assembly, use pliers to squeeze together both sides of the piping clamp until it breaks apart.

      NOTE:
      • If any foreign matter is attached to the connecting parts, brush it off or use compressed air to remove it before disconnecting the parts.
      • Make sure that fragments of the piping clamp do not enter the piping.
    2. Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
      NOTE:

      Remove any foreign matter from the connecting parts of the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A and cooler condenser assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts with vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    4. Remove the piping clamp.
  19. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides, and remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when removing the cooler condenser assembly.

  20. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY (for HV Model) 
    1. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when removing the cooler condenser assembly.
