Installation [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. When installing a new instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly:
      1. Immediately before installing the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly, twist and cut off the portion as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the 5 guides to temporarily install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction - -
      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
    3. Install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly with the 5 bolts <A>, 2 bolts <E> and nut <C>.

      *a Bolt <A> *b Bolt <E>
      *c Nut <C> *d Clip

      Bolt <E> 

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    4. Install the 2 clips.
    5. Engage each clamp.

      *A for 11 Speakers *B w/ Manual (SOS) Switch
      *1 Cooler (Room Temp. Sensor) Thermistor - -
    6. Connect the airbag connector.

      HINT: 

      Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector.

      Refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [12/2019 - 11/2023] , or refer to HOW TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR [11/2023 - ]

    7. Connect each connector.
    8. Install the bolt <F>.

      Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    9. Engage the 2 claws to connect the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.
  2. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ORNAMENT 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 22 clips as shown in the illustration to install the instrument cluster finish panel ornament.

  4. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX INSERT 
    1. Engage the 5 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the front console box insert with the 2 screws <D>.
  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT 
    1. Engage the 5 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the front No. 2 console box insert with the 2 screws <D>.
  6. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 4 clips and 2 claws as shown in the illustration to install the lower center instrument panel finish panel.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 2 guides and 17 clips as shown in the illustration to install the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.

  8. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 2 clips as shown in the illustration to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel.

  10. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 2 clips as shown in the illustration to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel.

  13. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 47

  14. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the clamp.
    2. Connect the connector.
    3. Engage the 5 clips as shown in the illustration.

    4. Install the 2 bolts <A>.
    5. Open the glove compartment door sub-assembly.
    6. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 3 screws <D>.
    7. Close the glove compartment door sub-assembly.
  15. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws as shown in the illustration to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  18. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Interior Illumination:
      1. Engage the clamp.
      2. Connect the 2 connectors.
    2. Engage the clamp.
    3. Engage the 16 clips and 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    4. Connect the connector.
    5. Install the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly with the 2 screws <B>.
  21. INSTALL RADIO AND DISPLAY ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL (for 8 Inch Display) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  22. INSTALL RADIO AND DISPLAY ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL (for 12.3 Inch Display) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  23. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 guides and 5 clips as shown in the illustration to install the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  24. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  25. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE 
    1. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

  27. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and claw to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

    1. Engage the 2 claws to connect the DLC3.
    2. Engage the guide and 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
